When controlling vertical loads with a Kinetix servo drive, it is important to configure the stopping type and related parameters to correct values based on the requirements of a given application. 

Understanding the Stop Categories and the configurable stopping types is critical for selecting the best configuration. It is also important to understand how the vertical load in question is controlled and mechanically connected to the system. 

Always use the safest possible stopping methods and base configurations on the appropriate safety standards and best practices.
