What is the method to replace a safety IO module?

The steps to replace a safety IO module are not the same as standard IO. See the list of steps that will guide you through the process.

For IO module replacement:

1. Ensure the module is the same series, and major revision, will never work if they don’t match exactly.
2. Go to controller properties and unlock if lock applied (doesn't have to have a lock since its just user access)
3. Put the controller in program mode and then delete the safety signature
4. Inhibit the IO module being replaced
5. Power down and change IO module
6. Power up rack with IO
7. Reset ownership of IO module replaced
8. Un-inhibit the IO module
9. Generate a new safety signature
10. Return processor to Run mode
