Why does my 20-HIM-A6 / 20-HIM-C6S keeps rebooting and faulting on my PowerFlex 755T Drive with a DPI Loss Communication Fault?

This article addresses the issue with the 20-HIM-A6/C6S rebooting/faulting itself while connected to a PowerFlex 755T Drive.

The PowerFlex 755T drives do not support the Process Screen on the 20-HIM-A6/C6S HIM Modules.  The Process Screen is the screen that displays the Output Voltage, DC Bus Volts and Amps while the drive is running and can be accessed by pressing the ESC on the HIM keypad.

To resolve the issue with the 20-HIM-A6/C6 Module, you must upgrade your HIM firmware to Version 2.008 or later.

Use the Control Flash in CCW to be able the upgrade the firmware of the HIM while connected to the PowerFlex 755T.

NOTE: The Process Screen will not show up on the HIM for the PowerFlex 755T Drives
