Does Rockwell offer and IO-Link Master
IO-Link Master and Model options
The Rockwell Automation 5032 IO-Link Master (part of the ArmorBlock 5000 family) is a rugged, machine-mounted block. It translates signals from smart, IO-Link sensors into standard Ethernet/IP data, making it easier to wire machines, track advanced diagnostics, and speed up equipment setup in your factory.
Rockwell offers a few different part numbers (catalog numbers) for the 5032 Master, which primarily differ based on how they connect to power
- 5032-8IOLM12DR: Standard DC micro (M12) power and network ports.
- 5032-8IOLM12M12LDR: M12 network and "d-coded" (power pass-through) connections for daisy-chaining.
- 5032-8IOLM12P5DR: Uses a 5-pin mini auxiliary connector for heavy-duty power supplies
Using Rockwell's Studio 5000 Logix Designer (Version 35+), you have a few ways to configure the device
- Process Data Only Mode: Strips out advanced diagnostics and just sends the basic measurement to the controller, speeding up programming.
- Full IO-Link Mode: Allows you to read detailed sensor health, change sensor settings from the PLC screen, and get real-time warnings.
- Device Registration Tool: Automatically imports manufacturer files (IODD files) so you don't have to write custom code to decipher sensor data.
