Replacement options for photoelectric 5000 series
Rockwell Automation announced the discontinuation of the catalog numbers listed in the Environment section as of February 28, 2023. Inventory depletion started in January 2023. This product line was discontinued due to the obsolescence of critical components needed to maintain manufacturability of this product line. The are considered to be Engineered Replacements for the discontinued Series 5000 part numbers.
We are recommending that customers migrate to our newest solutions developed in the 42AF RightSight M30 as well as the Series 9000 Photoelectric sensors. These replacements have different form factors and mounting styles than the Series 5000 family of sensors.
The 42AF RightSight should be the first option for replacement. However if the specs are still off and not exactly what you need, try navigating to the 42EF RightSight or the 9000 Photoelectric Series sensors.
The 42AF RightSight offers sensing modes such as background reflective, background suppression, polarized retroreflective, and transmitted beam options.
