What are the different Open Order reports ES&E provides?

There are several different open order reports available for customers.

Watch this video to understand the different Open Order reports ES&E offers:

ES&E can provide purchase order summaries, line item summaries, and line item reports based on which days of the week a customer chooses to receive them.

  1. Order Summary: Summary of Open Orders with Expected Factory Ship Dates (purchase order summary). This report lists your company's open purchase orders on a single row and provides the original entry date, the furthest expected shipment date of any item on that purchase order as well as if your company has requested the order be held as a “ship complete" order.
  2. Line Item Summary: Summary of Open Orders by Line Item with Expected Factory Ship Dates (line item summary). This report lists any part numbers you have on an open purchase order on a single row, the purchase order number, your part number (if utilized), the furthest expected shipment date of that part number (if in quantity), if the line item is being held as a "ship complete" order, and if it is "ship complete" the quantity of inventory ES&E is holding for that purchase order number.
  3. Line Item Detail: Summary of Open Orders by Line Item with Expected Factory Ship Dates and Quantity (line item detail): This is our most granular report that lists each part number on an open purchase order on a single row and repeats the part number on the row below for the quantity you have on order. This report contains the same information as the Line item summary but is helpful for open purchase orders with multiple quantities spread across multiple shipments from the manufacturer. An example would be an open purchase order for a quantity of 18 of a particular part number and the expected ship date for each of the 18 parts – the first ten may ship from the factory in a week, and the remaining eight may not ship for two weeks. We also include whether the item is "ship complete” and if it is "ship complete," any inventory that ES&E is holding for that open purchase order.
