Allen-Bradley L-coded power cables (often cataloged under the 889L series) are industrial-grade M12 circular connector cables specifically designed for high-power DC distribution in modern automation systems. They represent a newer, standardized approach for supplying 24V DC power to PROFINET devices, Fieldbus modules, sensors, and compact motor drives

Key Features and Specifications
  • M12 L-Coded Connector: They feature a 12 mm screw-locking connector with a specific L-coding pin pattern that prevents mismatched connections with other M12 types (like A-coded data cables).
  • High Power, Low Voltage: L-coded connectors are designed for high current at low voltage (typically 63V AC/DC). They can handle up to 16A of current per pin (depending on wire gauge).
  • 4-Pin or 5-Pin Configurations:
    • 4-pin (black connector): Often used for standard DC power.
