Pre-cut DIN Rail & Wire Duct

Every minute matters!  Receive your din rail and wire duct pre-cut to the lengths needed.  Each piece is marked with a length and can be correlated back to the drawing set when using Ready to Assemble.  

How do you ensure consistency?

We have a process for ensuring each piece can be delivered with a factory edge for ultimate repeatability.

What DIN rail and wire duct do we process?

• DIN rail: steel and aluminum in all profiles
• Wire duct: all plastic duct in all sizes. Please inquire about cutting metal duct.

For DIN Rail:

• We cut the DIN rail so that the factory edge is always on the left with the text "Allen-Bradley" being upright.
• This will place the center of the first mounting slot in the DIN rail 1" from the left edge to the center of the mounting slot.

For Wire Duct:

• We cut the wire duct so that the factory edge is always on the left with the printed Panduit information text printed upright. On smaller duct the text will be on the back of the duct and inside the duct on larger wire duct.
• For duct less than 2" wide, the center of the mounting slot will be 1/2" from the left edge of the duct.
• For duct greater than 2" wide, the center of the mounting slot will be 2" from the left edge of the duct.

Reset Cut:

• For both DIN rail and wire duct we start with the factory edge for the first cut and then after the first cut we do a "reset" cut to ensure the distance from the left edge to the first mounting hole is always the same.

Accuracy:

• We use a CNC machine to accurately position the wire duct and DIN rail to ensure accuracy. For DIN rail we maintain a 1/16" accuracy and for wire duct we have the same 1/16" accuracy. However, for wire duct, we always cut in the center of the shortest opening closest to your specified measurement. We will cut wire duct cover to the dimension you specified.

Example: If you specified 12-1/4" for the duct and cover, we will cut the duct to 12" (center of shortest opening nearest the specified dimension) and the cover will be cut to 12-1/4" long.

Labeling:

• Each piece of cut DIN rail or wire duct will be cut with a label adhered to the back of the cut piece. The dimension of the piece will be noted on the label. Custom labels are available on request.

Do you only cut ES&E supplied material?

We typically provide Panduit wire duct and Allen-Bradley din rail. In certain circumstances, we will also cut customer supplied material.
