Course Purpose
This skill-building course provides you with the basic skills necessary to understand and troubleshoot an electrical circuit and components in an industrial control panel using schematics. This course provides opportunities to work with wiring components, using multimeters, and reviewing and reading electrical schematics.
During the class, you will gain the hands-on skills required to troubleshoot failed components
- Understanding of motor starter circuits
- Use of multimeter in industrial environment
- Use of reading electrical schematics
- Use of ohms law
Who Should Attend
All personnel needing to understand basic electrical theory and components used in Industrial control panels should attend this course
Technology Requirements
All technology is provided for student use in the classroom by Rockwell Automation. It is not necessary for students to bring any technology with them when attending this course.
Hands-On Practice
During the course, participants will have opportunities to complete exercises that prove the theory and the relationship between schematics and electrical devices. These exercises will aid in understanding the major topics learned. The major topical fundamentals assist with the importance of Schematics, basic meter usage, and identifying AC and DC.
Course Length
This is a 1.5-day course.
