Course Purpose
This skill-building course provides you with the skills necessary to develop Optix applications that run on the next-generation Optixpanel terminals. This course provides opportunities to work with both hardware and software. During class, you will gain the hands-on skills required to prepare a Optixpanel terminal for operation. You will also work with FactoryTalk Optix and will practice downloading FactoryTalk Optix applications to a Optixpanel terminal.
During class, you will gain the following hands-on skills:
- Prepare a Optixpanel terminal for operation
- Create a new application and run it on a terminal
- Create, configure, and animate graphic objects on graphic displays
Who Should Attend
Individuals who need to create or maintain FactoryTalk Optix applications for use on a Optixpanel terminal should attend this course.
Prerequisites
To successfully complete this course, the following prerequisites are required:
- Ability to perform basic Microsoft Windows tasks
- Completion of the Studio 5000 Level 1 or Completion of Studio 500 Basics: PLC02
Technology Requirements
All technology is provided for student use in the classroom by Rockwell Automation. It is not necessary for students to bring any technology with them when attending this course.
Hands-On Practice
Throughout this course, you will have the opportunity to practice the skills you have learned through a variety of hands-on exercises:
- Exercises focus on the skills introduced in each lesson.
- Exercises are performed on Optixpanel 10” and CompactLogix workstations.
